Simply yours
You, who… spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, say this: ‘God, you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I’m safe!’ Psalm 91 verse 1
Call me and I’ll answer and be at your side in bad times Psalm 91 verse 15’
[both quotes from the MESSAGE]
Verse 1
Gentle Father, Faithful friend
God who whispers through the storm
In every heartbeat, every breath
I am never on my own
You alone are my safety
You alone my hiding place
Solid ground, open heaven
Here I’m found within your grace
Verse 2
When the questions, hide your face
When the anxious thoughts arise
God of heaven; God of peace
Draw my focus to your eyes
Bridge
There is nothing like your voice to me
When I hear your words of hope
Grace awakened I am free to be
Fully loved, simply yours

For the last four years [off and on], I’ve been walking through a challenging experience that may or may not be resolved. It has put ‘way up there’ the importance and beauty, reality and joy of having friends who choose to pray and pray and pray; investing their time on my behalf, even though they are not directly involved.
I guess ‘Simply Yours’ tells of the tenacity and grace of our God [in many ways, reflected in the love of my friends] who is able not only to take us through and out, but who stays with us in ‘stuff’, even the unresolved situations!
