OK – Breathing is the powerhouse! You can learn what the capacity of your lungs FEELS like!
Here is an exercise to help you work out what the effect of your full lungs feel like
- Stand with your hands on your ribs [not waist or hips] and take in a steady breath over 4 counts
- Hold it!
- Memorise what it feels like to have your lungs full…
- …then let it out noisily
Note – you should have felt your hands move apart from each other as your lungs expanded.
Try it again – but no more than 3 times in all [don’t want you hyperventilating!!]
