Manchester! Sisters!

So we met at the airport, witnessed yet again John’s fantastic ability to converse with people, listening well and expressing respectfully got all the gear on the flight! John you are the man for this.

It was a really smooth flight thankfully, then over to the Sanctuary (WHBC) where we enjoyed a lovely meal. Great venue for chillin! Love those funky wall lights!. Here the 1st of the Latty family connections began. Matt, Vanessa and Isak (Geri’s sister) greeted us with massive smiles and big hugs! Just great to have them join us in person for this part of the journey.

An early night by all was welcomed, that was only after a game a scrabble where we saw Carey’s competitive nature come out!

So Manchester, Wednesday already! The Latty family gathered as Aydee (Geri’s brother) and Hannah came to be part of the night. We also managed to have Steph (Geri’s other sister!) join us from Toronto – via skype! Technology is great!! Hannah opened the evening with some awesome loops, delicately balanced with her gorgeous voice. Sounded seriously great Hannah, thankyou. We were treated to have 2 support acts tonight, the 2nd being Carla Ellington, a lady with a massive fun personality, huge smile and an outstanding voice to match! WOOOOooo!

One of the special moments of this night was the choir [which included students, asylum seekers, professionals and homeless people] that joined us to sing ‘Our Hope’ at the end of the evening. Having such LOVELY people who are all in a really challenging part of their life sing out these words just took this song to another place. It really was a priviledge to have you guys be part of the night.
